PARKHOMES, Precinct 7 is the abode to the gated & guarded residential community located in Eco Majestic, Semenyih. Inspired by the houses of the colonial era, the façade of this neighbourhoods boasts of an aesthetic with a modern twist to the classic Black & White colonial houses.
Due to the sloping nature of the site, the architects had the opportunity in curating a landscape that caters to the 12 meters difference in height of the slope. Thus, creating an opportunity to feature a landscape with a cascading effect of varying vegetations – shrubs, hedges and topiary trees mixed with various pathways and ramps throughout the entire precinct. Gazebos, children playgrounds and other recreational amenities act as local nodes to the site, bringing in vibrancy and activities to its residences.
The individual home units are also arranged in a staggered manner, similar to its landscape design. Thus, giving the impression of varying heights that prevents leaving the site from being too plain and flat. The Black & White louvres, that wraps around the verandah and the balcony above, acts an iconic feature of the façade, which also serves as a shading device that filters out the evening sun. Parkhomes draws its resident closer nature with its open living area that leads out into a spacious verandah, with the master bedroom above overlooking both the private and shared gardens.
Parkhomes reimagines the Black & White Houses of the Straits Era and with the improved spatial quality of a home, bringing its residents the perfect serenity just a few steps out the door.
