The project is located in Setia Eco Glades in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The gated community comprising 11 units of bungalows, 34 units of semi-detached and 30 units of link houses set within an 13.28 acre island.
Alfred Russel Wallace wrote the epic The Malay Archipelago between 1852 and 1864. Since then, the imagery of the nusantara islands has appealed to many as the ultimate in breezy resort style and architecture. This development was designed as a modern tropical island resort.
The house designs were based on the vernacular resort villa concept with eclectic regional elements interwoven with modern green building concepts. The homes maximise cross ventilation and incorporate high roof pitches, deep eaves and natural materiality.
The homes are laid out in resort style to maximise lake and garden frontages and views. Lush tropical landscaping, water features, portal arches and regional artwork are incorporated into the surroundings to complete the resort island feel.
